Wet weather did not postpone the Duluth-Detroit ballgame.

The Duluth Sea Gulls firmly defeated the Detroit Thunderbirds, 15-0, at Sea Gulls Field. The Duluth offense was lit. Matt Bowers, for one, had a solid game. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Sea Gulls. Francisco Pérez, the winner, goes to 5-4. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts over 7 innings.
