Re: 2015 - A Year of the Pitcher
OK guys, a quick copy paste and supporting data of what I just sent Steve over groupme from a 14 season sim in GLBL. looks like year 1 was just an anomaly... ERAs are up as are averages I honestly think the year 1 'strangeness' is due to how teams drafted.. we had a couple teams draft to get the fir...

Re: 2015 - A Year of the Pitcher
All, It's unlikely what Al says is correct as I commish two leagues both with reduced (120-130 game schedules), one playing with 2014 or 2015 defaults every year, but playing in the 1950s and 1960s and another that runs in the 2000s and started with 1960-1970s defaults. The issue I saw is that the '...

Re: 2016 Official Changes
Hey Steve, I suggest you don't do anything to ticket prices as if you increase these, but other things don't increase using an inflation model eg. IAFA cap, scouting and dev baselines, salaries etc. the league will end up with too miuch cash. If you then implement a salary cap, players will want mor...

Re: 2015 - A Year of the Pitcher
No concerns from where I sit, settings are as they should be for, it just seems that due to the short season we've ended up at the far end of the distribution curve in terms of output and player creation, nothing for us really to concern ourselves about IMO.

Re: Sim Schedule 2016 - Dialogue
My preference is every day sims at 7 days per sim (steve knows this) BUT, the big kicker here is that actually having this league sim less than other leagues I'm in makes it easier for me to stay in touch with what is going on, not enough to win many playoff games though ;) My single bugbear with th...

Re: Vesting Options - Dialogue
Allow vesting options, but only on contracts OFFERED to players aged 30+ years. The above is just an idea, and really I'm fine with GMs self reviewing vesting options. Agree they should only be allowed for the last year of a deal though. I don't recommend limiting what the vesting year can be, I sho...

Milwaukee lost to Toledo ;)
After 22 straight wins by Milwaukee over the cellar dwellers from Toledo, the neptunes notched up their 2nd win of the season over Milwaukee on Thursday 13th of August. Given the season both are having this is definitely an 'extraordinary event'

Re: Contract Extensions & Free Agent Contracts - Discussion 1-21-16
I'll comment given that point 3 is a rule I implemented in my SBC league. For Steve's background the only reason I implemented this rule in SBC was that it's a league that started in 1950's Australia and in my eyes they weren't creative enough yet to allow front ended deals :) From a commish perspec...
