Re: 2018 Inter-league Schedule Vote

With reservations, I vote Yes. I don't like the uneven number of home/road games vs out-of-league opponents, nor has anybody made a convincing argument why 140 games should be non-negotiable. But 28 games vs in-league opponents was too many, so this is a step in the right direction.

Re: Debt Relief - DRAFT and Discussion

Maybe debt relief should only be allowed for new GMs? That way no existing GM could attempt to game the system as Martin suggests.

Re: GLBL - Inter-league Play Discussion

We have an established baseline that gives context to our 3 years. If we expand games all those records, for better or worse, will be eclipsed or at the minimum have their value changed. Which is something that has happened numerous times in real baseball, as well as in the NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. It d...

Re: GLBL - Inter-league Play Discussion

I'm okay with the scenario you've laid out here. 162 games (or thereabouts) is just my preference. I like it because it's what I'm used to, and because it would make it easier to make meaningful statistical comparisons between real baseball and this league. But it's not something that I can't live w...

Re: GLBL - Inter-league Play Discussion

A big part of why I favor interleague play in this league is because I'd like to play more games, period. I know there's no "correct" number of games for a baseball schedule, but it's been 162 games in MLB for my whole life, so that's what seems "correct" to me. Traditional milestones like 20-win se...

CHI Trade block

Doug Ledoux.

He's in the final year of his contract. Solid left-handed reliever, could be set-up man or vs LHB specialist.

Not looking for much in return, just a young player who might have some upside. Not expecting to land a top prospect or anything.

Re: 2015 - A Year of the Pitcher

I'm not sure what your motivation for updating that chart was, Steve, but if it's to re-open the discussion... Batting averages and runs per game for our current campaign... 2017 USA avg.: .226 (down 8 pts. from last year) 2017 CAN avg.: .226 (down 10 pts. from last year) 2017 USA rpg: 3.4 (down .12...

Re: Chi-town/Kingston trade

I am the GM of the Chicagos and I approve this exciting swap of "prospects".
