The Hamilton Mounties topped the Windsor Vigilantes, 2-0, in Canadian action at Justice Field. The standout performance belonged to Hamilton pitcher and Beulah, North Dakota, native Anthony Irish. Hamilton is now 36-39, Windsor 37-38.
Irish tossed 96 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Mounties. The left-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"We take it day by day here," said Irish, "and today was a good one for us."
