Windsor Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.
The Windsor Vigilantes defeated the Traverse City Bears, 7-4, in Canadian action at Justice Field. Dave Dodd pulled his weight. The 14-year veteran was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Windsor reliever Luke Mews picked up the win, while Alberto Espinoza took the loss for Traverse City.
John Dyke was the walk-off hero for Windsor. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vigilantes catcher hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Dyke. "More importantly, I had a good game."
Windsor now has a record of 65-43 with the win.
