Vigilantes Earn 7-6 Win Versus Eagles
|
The Windsor Vigilantes did just enough to sneak past the Milwaukee Eagles, 7-6, at Justice Field. Windsor first baseman Dusty Murphy, in particular, had a standout performance. Windsor reliever Luke Mews picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Alonso Delgado was saddled with the loss. The North of the Border-leading Vigilantes are 66-43.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Murphy hit a fastball from Alonso Delgado for a run-scoring single. The Vigilantes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Windsor manager Greg Erbisch.
