In 7.1 innings, Simpson surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Luke Mews was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 37 of 39 save opportunities.
John Dyke, who finished 2nd in the CAN in extra base hits with 56 last year, came through for Windsor with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. The catcher went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Windsor manager Greg Erbisch.
Windsor is now riding a 9-game win streak.
