The Toronto Maples beat the Owen Sound Waveriders, 4-3. Toronto pitcher and Calumet, Minnesota, native Steffen Brooks led the way. Júlio Castro notched his 9th save in 12 chances. With the victory, the Maples record now stands at 66-68.

Toronto used the bat of Brett Collins to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Maples ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Collins told the Toronto Daily News. "Whatever it takes."
