CAN Names Best Player Monday, May 20th, 2030 At the age of 26, Nelson Wooten might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Toronto third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .375 batting average. For his efforts Wooten collected the Canadian Player of the Week Award. He racked up 9 hits in 24 at-bats, 5 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 7 games. Thus far this season Wooten is hitting .300 with 15 home runs, 40 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
