Maples Win GLBL Championship Crown Tuesday, September 28th , 2038 The Toronto Maples were good enough to get past the Toledo Neptunes at Ballpark of Toledo today and secure the 2nd championship in franchise history. "When you wear Maples on your shirt, you're good at something," Toronto skipper Martin Abresch told the press. Maples right fielder Daniel Rivera was named MVP of the series after he went .533 with 3 home runs and 7 RBI. "It feels totally incredible," Rivera said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment." The new champions capped off a great season with a 8-6 victory over the Neptunes to win the GLBL Championship 4-1.
