CAN Presents Outstanding Pitcher Award Thursday, October 7th , 2038 This past season was outstanding for Dennis Wemp. The Kingston mound star sizzled with a 15-6 record and captured the prestigious 2038 CAN Lake Michigan POY Award. The Comets hurler posted a 2.37 ERA in 30 starts with 179 strikeouts and 37 walks in 220 innings. Wemp limited opposing teams to a .249 batting average. Pete Haynes of the Thunder Bay Caribou finished second in voting, while Ernie Henderson of the Owen Sound Waveriders finished third. |
