CAN's Star Player Named Monday, June 11th, 2029 26-year-old Serge Thibault sent shock waves through Great Lakes Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Canadian Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Thibault made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .320 average, 8 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the Toronto Maples first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Thibault certainly made his mark last week. Thus far this season Thibault has hit .346 with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 42 times. |
