Durango Shackles Thunder Bay
Tuesday, June 12th, 2029
Manny Durango hurled a fine game for the Kingston Comets at Comet Field today, holding the Thunder Bay Caribou to 3 hits in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Kingston manager Kurt Peterson said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The left-hander had 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 1-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," Thunder Bay manager Robert Larmer said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
Durango has posted a 7-4 record for the year with a 2.45 ERA. Teams are hitting .211 against him and he has rung up 51 strikeouts in 91.2 innings.
