Walker Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, July 26th , 2039 Arthur Walker continued his streak at Harbour Field today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Hamilton first baseman was 3-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Mounties were not as fortunate, losing 5-2 to the Chicago Architects. "Walker was hitting everything we threw at him," said Chicago manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Arthur Walker grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season Walker is currently batting .353 with 11 home runs and 43 RBIs. In 102 games he has reached base at a .404 rate and scored 60 runs to date. |
