No Late-Season Magic Coming: Leamington Out of Playoffs Friday, August 17th , 2040 Leamington Mariners manager called today a "dark day" for his club. The Mariners were officially eliminated from playoff contention and will shift their focus to next season. "There are probably worse days in the history of the Leamington Mariners, but right now this feels bad," said. The Mariners have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 26 years as a GLBL Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2038. In the last 10 seasons, the Mariners have missed the playoffs 4 times. Leamington last won the AAA Championship in 2038. |
