Scott Robertson Captures SL1 Most Valuable Player Award
Thursday, September 13th , 2040
At the age of 25, Scott Robertson of the Mississauga Mad Catz could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2040 was good enough to win the third baseman the Sub League 1 Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .292 batting average this year, as well as a .382 on-base percentage. He played 112 games and racked up 97 hits, 24 doubles, 2 triples, 26 home runs, 78 RBIs and 62 runs scored.
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Sabri Roger of the Leamington Mariners finished second in voting, while Andrés Fuentes of the Manitoulin Island Royals finished third.
