|
Toledo beat Owen Sound on the strength of starting pitcher Nick Keddy's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Luke Mews closed it out for Toledo, earning his 5th save. Toledo goes to 10-7.
Toledo used a well-timed hit by Carlos Figueroa to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Neptunes ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Owen Sound skipper John Meeker.
