5-Hit Game for Hallamore
Plymouth second baseman Johnny Hallamore had a fantastic day at the plate at Hard Rock Field, knocking out 5 hits and pacing his club to a win, 6-4.

"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Hallamore said after his 5-for-6 performance against the Royals. "No offense meant to Manitoulin Island, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid park, it was Hard Rock Field."

After the game, his manager elaborated on the second baseman's improvements, saying Hallamore spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.

"That's what I'm trying to do," Hallamore said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

Johnny Hallamore singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off Juan Carrillo in the 12th.

Hallamore is batting .235 this year with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 221 at-bats.
