Leamington's Sánchez Sidelined for Season

The season is finished for Carlos Sánchez of the Leamington Mariners. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Mariners center fielder suffered a fractured ankle while running the bases in a recent game against the Mississauga Mad Catz. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal.
Sánchez is batting at a .246 pace this season, picking up 93 hits in 378 at-bats with 1 home run, 25 RBIs and 55 runs scored.
