Bell Shuts Out Mississauga, 5-0
|
In an impressive outing, Jeremy Bell blanked the Mississauga Mad Catz 5-0.
"I'm getting a lot more downward movement instead of side to side. That side-to-side stuff can get hit a long way," said Bell, who is throwing with more of an overhand motion.
"It's not rocket science. It was just a little adjustment, but that's all it took."
The Leamington hurler held Mississauga scoreless, allowed 6 hits, chalked up 8 strikeouts and yielded 3 walks.
In 19 starts this year Bell has posted 10 wins while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 123 innings, allowed 104 hits, struck out 128 and has a 2.49 ERA.
