The Kingston Comets defeated the Thunder Bay Caribou, 7-6, in part because of catcher Eugene Martínez. Martínez was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Comets. Kingston is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 7th win in 20 games.
