Comets Beaten By Caribou, 3-0
|
The Thunder Bay Caribou took Kingston pitcher Greg Patterson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Comet Field. The final score had Thunder Bay getting past the Comets, 3-0. Patterson went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 12. Pablo Ojeda sewed up the save, his 2nd. The loss has the Comets at 10-12.
The Caribou got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Greg Bow. For the game, Bow was 1-1 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Thunder Bay a 1-0 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Bow told the Thunder Bay Observer.
