Toronto starter Eduardo Gómez put a stranglehold on the Windsor offense. The left-hander had complete command of his screwball in leading the Maples to a 6-0 win. The loss drops the Vigilantes to 13-12.

Gerald Powers, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Powers contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Toronto up, 2-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Powers told the Toronto Today.
