The Hamilton Mounties snuck past the Thunder Bay Caribou, 1-0, in 13 innings. Hamilton pitcher Dick Koch, in particular, had a standout performance. The Caribou fall to 11-15 and continue their lackluster start to the 2051 season.

The Mounties got a clutch hit from catcher Billy Williams. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mounties.

"That was fun, that was just good baseball," said Williams.
