The Chicago Architects beat the Detroit Thunderbirds, 6-1, at Thunderbirds Ballpark. Starting pitcher John Moore was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The winner was Moore. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Val Imbert. The win puts Chicago at 3-0.

Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Thomas Arnaud to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Architects ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Arnaud, "one at-bat at a time."
