The inspired effort of Duluth second baseman Shane MacKinley was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-3, to the Thunder Bay Caribou. MacKinley belted 2 home runs. Al Pellerin recorded the save, his 2nd. Thunder Bay is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Thunder Bay relied on the bat of Erik Pryor to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Caribou ahead, 6-3. For the game, Pryor had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

Pryor attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
