Sea Gulls Sunk by Vigilantes

Windsor and Duluth duked it out and the Vigilantes came out victorious.
The exploits of third baseman Jeff Dewar, who led the CAN in stolen bases with 68 last year, helped the Windsor Vigilantes defeat the Duluth Sea Gulls, 4-1. Dewar went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Júlio Castro earned the win to go to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work.
With Windsor leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Dewar hit a cutter from Fernando Markert for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Vigilantes ahead, 3-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Dewar.
The triumph puts Windsor at 19-16 for the season.
