A 3-RBI performance from Toshikuni Ogawa helped the Kingston Comets beat the Traverse City Bears, 9-4. Herkko Laakso earned the save for Kingston, his 2nd of the year. With the win, Kingston upped its record to 18-17.

George Updike had a big 2-run double for the Comets in the bottom of the first inning. With Kingston leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Ward Covey, who led the USA in ERA with 2.93 in 2051, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Comets ahead, 4-0.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Ogawa.
