Thunderbirds Nip Sea Gulls, 2-1
|
Starting pitcher Terry Noble was a major factor in the 2-1 Detroit Thunderbirds triumph over the Duluth Sea Gulls. The Thunderbirds now own a record of 19-20.
Had David Kenney not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kenney hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Thunderbirds.
Noble called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
