The Traverse City Bears picked up a win at The Den, courtesy of Ward Covey. The right-hander helped his team stop the Detroit Thunderbirds, 2-0. Ken Shannon earned his 13th save in 18 chances. The Bears have now won 4 straight.

Covey gave Traverse City a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
