Comets Come Back Late to Top Caribou, 9-7
The Kingston Comets had to overcome a big game from Thunder Bay first baseman Greg Bow to leave Caribou Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-7. Bow was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Kingston reliever Felipe González picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nick Tate was saddled with the loss. Harvey Sokhakian converted his 14th save in 19 tries.

Kingston used a timely hit from Paul Jackson to get the win. The center fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Comets ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Jackson.

Even with the win, the Comets have a dismal 48-95 record.
