|
Sterling Morin had a good game, but he could not keep the Hamilton Mounties from falling, 5-3, to the Thunder Bay Caribou at Caribou Field. The Hamilton second baseman went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. Thunder Bay reliever Dorian May got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Carlos Pérez was tagged with the loss. Ricardo Márquez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 7 save opportunities.
Julien Joubert hit a bases-clearing double off Carlos Pérez in the bottom of the second, which put the Caribou in front, 5-2. In addition to the double, Joubert had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"It was a good effort all around," said Joubert.
With the win, Thunder Bay raised its record to 75-68.
