Sea Gulls Suffer 3-2 Home Defeat
|
Toledo Neptunes starter Woodrow Butterworth hurled his team past the Duluth Sea Gulls, 3-2. Butterworth picked up the win for Toledo, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Luke Mews earned the save, his 10th.
Toledo used the hitting of Toshikuni Ogawa to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Neptunes on top, 3-1. For the game, Ogawa had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Tough loss," said Duluth manager Alex Wobbema. "But we'll learn from it."
