Waters, Vigilantes Wallop Caribou in Game 3 of LC
|
The Windsor Vigilantes have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Thunder Bay Caribou, winning 10-1 at Caribou Field today. Vigilantes catcher Ken Waters went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the Vigilantes to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship.
Charlie Ruíz, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ruíz contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Windsor up, 5-1.
"We did a lot of things right," said Ruíz.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Caribou Field in Thunder Bay.
