League Championship Game 1 Victory for Hulbert and Milwaukee
The League Championship got off to a quiet start today, with the host Milwaukee Eagles taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the Duluth Sea Gulls. Milwaukee right-hander Yale Hulbert was marvelous at The Nest. The Eagles now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Jim Ashley, who won the Lake Superior Player Award in 2047, aided the Milwaukee cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Hulbert.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest in Milwaukee.
