Eagles Clip Sea Gulls 2-1 in LC Contest
The Milwaukee Eagles and the Duluth Sea Gulls will take the League Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Eagles beat the Sea Gulls 2-1 at The Nest to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Milwaukee right-hander Billy Hill had a big role in the win. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 1 runs.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Zhao-ji Fang came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Duluth pitcher Bruce Peraca, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Milwaukee on top, 2-1.

"The old adage is true," said Fang. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest in Milwaukee.
