The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Architects and Traverse City Bears get after it.

Traverse City Bears right-hander Ward Covey pitched a good game against the Chicago Architects at The Den, leading his team to victory, 7-4. The winner was Covey. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was John Moore. Alonso Delgado picked up the save, his 2nd.

The Bears got a big at-bat from right fielder David Blue. For the game, Blue was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Traverse City a 2-1 lead.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Chicago manager DD Martin.
