5-Hit Blitz by Chicago's Dunse
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Walker Dunse. Dunse went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Detroit pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Thunderbirds Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Chicago Architects had a win, 10-8, over the Thunderbirds.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Walker Dunse struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Dunse has posted a batting average of .287 with 46 hits in 160 at-bats, no home runs and 16 RBIs. He has also scored 25 runs, walked 9 times and compiled a .329 OBP.
