The home crowd had a good time watching the Kingston Comets and Hamilton Mounties get after it.

The Hamilton Mounties beat the Kingston Comets, 11-4, at Harbour Field. The win was due in part to third baseman Aaron Bennett, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pablo Ojeda, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 4-3.

Tom Corson, who is tied for 9th in the CAN with a .286 batting average, aided the Hamilton cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Hamilton manager Al Borie.

Hamilton currently is in 5th place in the North of the Border at 25-28.
