The Toledo Neptunes racked up a win at Ballpark of Toledo, bumping off the Kingston Comets, 5-3. Dave Scott, who started for Toledo, pitched effectively for his team. The winner was Scott. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Matsusuke Yoshida. Luke Mews picked up the save, his 14th.

The Neptunes got a big at-bat from catcher Ken Armour. For the game, Armour went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Toledo a 4-3 lead.

"It was a solid team effort," said Armour after the game.

The South of the Border-leading Neptunes are 38-18.
