Eagles Flatten Bears, 10-3
|
Neil Carter was a vital contributor to the 10-3 Milwaukee victory over Traverse City. The Eagles designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Picking up the save was Jon Atkinson, his 1st. The Eagles now have a record of 21-40.
William Jones went 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs for Milwaukee. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Walt Bader. It was his 2nd walk of the season.
"I think it just wasn't our night," said Traverse City skipper Jim Burns.
