Waveriders Handle Windsor, Snag 4-1 Win
|
Paul Arthur, who is tied for 10th in the CAN in innings pitched with 73.0, never let the Vigilantes get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Waveriders to a win, 4-1. Rich Quick earned the save for Owen Sound, his 2nd. Windsor's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Pablo Parrel had a big run-scoring triple for the Waveriders in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Owen Sound leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Ernest Ferguson, who signed a 3-year contract worth $14,320,000 on 02/11/2055, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Waveriders ahead, 2-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Parrel told the Owen Sound News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
