Traverse City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Traverse City Bears weathered a fine game by Detroit right fielder Stan Gillis to upend the Thunderbirds, 9-8, at The Den. Gillis was 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Bears sport a record of 27-39.

The decisive blow was delivered by Pedro Morales in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Loo Chan to win the game for Traverse City. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Morales said.
