Bears Top Architects, 4-0, Behind Patterson
|
Jeremy Patterson, who finished 3rd in the USA in wins with 12 last year, never let the Architects get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Bears to a win, 4-0. Traverse City has run its win streak to 6 consecutive.
Patterson picked up the win. He's now 2-1, after putting the Chicago offense in the deep freeze. Over 7 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 1 hit.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Patterson. "Successful pitchers do it."
