Bears Raise Rally Flag, Beat Duluth, 6-5
|
Though he had a terrific game, Frank Callahan could not prevent his team, the Duluth Sea Gulls, from absorbing a loss. Traverse City won the game, 6-5. Callahan was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The second-place Bears have won 12 consecutive games.
Sean Lane came through with a big-time hit for Traverse City. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I feel like we're rolling now," Lane told the Traverse City Today."The dugout is coming alive."
