Traverse City Hot Streak Continues with 4-0 Win
The Traverse City Bears beat the Milwaukee Eagles, 4-0, at The Den. Starting pitcher Ward Covey was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Covey, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The Traverse City winning streak has reached 16 games.

Earl Foote had a big solo home run for the Bears in the bottom of the third inning. With Traverse City leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a forkball from Yale Hulbert, who finished 4th in the USA in ERA with 3.41 in 2049, and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Bears on top, 2-0.
