Comets Deal Mounties 6-4 Loss
|
The Kingston Comets stopped the Hamilton Mounties, 6-4, at Harbour Field. The Comets got a big game from Billy Peters, who was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Santiago Costa collected save number 2. The defeat makes Hamilton 2-6.
Mike Webster came through with a big-time hit for Kingston. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Kingston manager Kurt Peterson.
