Milwaukee Defeated By Architects, 6-3
|
The Chicago Architects picked up a win at Pier IV Grounds, knocking off the Milwaukee Eagles, 6-3. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander John Moore. He played a key role in the triumph. The Eagles, at 26-54, have lost 5 straight games.
Walker Dunse had a big 2-run double for the Architects in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Michael Bergeron, who leads the USA in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 30th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Architects ahead, 4-0.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Dunse told the Chicago Chronicle.
