Thunder Bay Beats Windsor, Goes to 48-32
|
The Thunder Bay Caribou took Windsor pitcher Cliff Simpson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Caribou Field. The final score had Thunder Bay getting past the Vigilantes, 3-1. Simpson went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 6. Ling-kung Liao, who is tied for 8th in the CAN in wins with 6, was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Cliff Simpson. With the win, the Caribou have a record of 48-32.
The Caribou got a big at-bat from pitcher J.J. Walker. For the game, Walker threw 2.2 innings of 0-hit ball. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Thunder Bay a 2-1 lead.
