Maples Rally to Eke Out Win
Hamilton wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Wally Howard, falling to the Toronto Maples, 4-3. Howard threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Toronto reliever Sergio Magana picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Sánchez took the loss. Toronto now has a record of 42-39 with the win.

Toronto won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Juan Sánchez on the mound for Hamilton, center fielder Romain Lemaire hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Maples fans to their feet.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Toronto field general Linus Riverboat.
